Surinder Paul Saini worked on the Australis from May 1972 until the 15th. of September 1977. His first job on the ship was as an assistant steward, then he worked as a deck steward. Surinder was then promoted to assistant chief steward. He met a British girl during his time on the ship, and they married on the 4th. of December 1977 in India. During October 1978 they came back to England and now live in Norfolk.
